Boyfriend drove girl to suicide

Miss Teo Shu Ling loved her boyfriend deeply. He in turn, used her.

His treatment of her led to her suicide.

Her boyfriend owed a lot of money to loansharks and lost a lot of money gambling.

He scolded her frequently for not wearing makeup and for not dressing well. He made her cry often. Most significantly, he made her get money for him.

She gave her what she had. Then she went on to borrow from friends. All this, she gave to her boyfriend, but it was not enough. He wanted more.

Finally, she stole her mother's jewelry and pawned it for money. That money, she gave to her boyfriend.

When her mother found out that her jewelry was missing, the girl confessed to her mother, then she jumped out of her parent's bedroom window, 9 storeys high. She died.

Her father confronted her boyfriend and made him write a confession at her coffin. He wrote and read his confession without shedding a tear or showing any sign of guilt.

Was he worth it?

She could have walked away. She did not owe him a living. Now she had lost her life. And for what?
