Working from homeI left a job I hated. It felt great to fire my boss and walk out. It was not an impulsive act though. I need the income to pay my bills, so I had to do my preparations before that. For over a year, I burnt the candle from both ends. By day, I slogged away at my job. At night, I slowly built up my e-business at home. I tolerated whatever the bosses dished out at me, with my eyes set on my final goal.. Freedom. An income from home. Not having anything to do with the office politicians ever again. That was my dream. So far, it feels like a honeymoon. I wake up late on days. Go to the movies on Mondays. I actually get to be with my kids before sunset. Take a nap when I need one. Best of all, no unreasonable demands, backstabbing and such things that I dreaded while on my previous job. I love working from home. It's not plain sailing though.
