Got the visitors but not the sales? Why? I faced that problem too. So I took a couple of days to study the Affiliate Masters book for enlightenment. Possible causes Mine is a content site. I don't sell anything. If I see something I believe in, then I'll tell my visitors about it and send them to the merchant. The merchant gives me a commission for the purchases made. My problem was I was too enthusiastic. It wasn't a recommendation. It sounded more like hard sell. No matter how much I loved that product, that was exactly how it sounded. Sales tactic.

	Golden rule #1. Pre-sell. Don't sell.
	Golden rule #2 Don't devote an entire site to a particular product. That is what merchants would tell you to do, but a site like that looks like a sales pitch. No matter how much you believe in that product, no matter how good it is, your visitors will hear a sales pitch. More rules I learnt from that book.

	Golden Rule #3. Go for the profitable keywords. Do your research on how many people search for that keyword (the demand) and how many sites can be found with the keyword (the supply).
	Golden Rule #4. Build a very focused web site. A theme based web site is loved by the search engines.

That was enough for me to work on a revamp. My site is way too general. Like they always say. Sell to everyone and you end up selling to no one.

In fact, it inspired another web site which I'll start working on. I just bought site build it. That would help me build a new site with much better sales conversions.

That will give me a headstart over the competition!
