In the past, before commercial beauty treatments popped up on shelves in the
stores, women relied on natural beauty treats made from ingredients found in
their kitchens or gardens.
Natural home facials were done at home, using milk, eggs, herbs, fruit and a myriad of natural foods found in the kitchen.
Different cultures had different beauty recipes. European women used elderflowers to lighten freckles. Chinese women used honey suckle to clear their skin.

Personally, for my acne, I prefer Home made cold mask using kaolin. It takes a long time to dry, is messy, but very effective.
