Making a Mini Garden

A miniature garden of dried flowers in a clear glass jar is a simple and charming gift.

What you need

glass jar with a metal lid

dried flowers

glue (scotch glue or anything that can glue florist foam to metal)

florist foam

scissors

pen knife

Here's how you can make it.

  1. Using a pen knife, cut a piece of florist foam small enough to fit into the lid of the jar.
  2. Glue the foam to the inside of the lid of the jar.
  3. Cut the stalks of dried flowers in varying length
  4. Arrange the flowers, poking the stalks into the florist foam.
  5. Make sure none of the florist foam is visible by cutting the stalks of the remaining dried flowers short enough so that when you poke them into the sides of the foam, only the flower head is visible.
  6. Turn the glass jar upside down and fasten the lid to it.
  7. Now you have a lovely mini garden.
