This is my second week following Billy Blanks Elite program. The
first week was on the getting started, mission one workout that
lasted 30 minutes. This Mission two, maximum power workout is much
tougher. For one thing, the Maximum Power workout is a 45 minute
intensive training session. It is still a fun-filled, energetic
workout but it focuses on the flabby bits under the arms, the
spreading butt and on toning the legs. The first few minutes which
required the use of the Billy Bands, weights + resistance bands to
tone the arms were torturous for me. The girls in the video and of
course Billy himself seemed to do the moves effortlessly but to
someone completely out of shape, just lifting and lowering my arms
were torturous. It got easier today, the second time I'm doing the
workout.
There are plenty of kickbacks in this workout. Billy knows exactly
where the problem areas are and targets them mercilessly, determined
to get us in shape as quickly as possible. By the time I finished the
entire 45 minute workout, I was drenched in sweat and euphoric with
that runner's high. My morning workout got me off to a great start
for the day.
