it was not nipple confusion your baby had. a consultant does not teach a baby how to open its mouth wide, that is a reflex that the baby has when it is born. the problems that some moms have is that they themselves don't have the correct technique in latching a baby on the breast and the baby is not allowed to properly open his/her mouth.
