Payot Creme Purifiante tried and tested on oily pimple prone sensitive skin
Payot Creme Purifiante Daily antibacterial balancing cream is meant for oily
problem skin. It contains Triclosan, birch bark extract, riboflavin, biotin,
salicylic acid, coffee bean extract and allantoin. All excellent for oily,
sensitive skin.
I tried using the cream for a few weeks. Here's my findings.
First impression
The cream is peach colored and has a very light, pleasant peach fragrance.
It feels very soothing on my skin. It does not feel the least bit greasy, unlike
other creams I have tried. My skin absorbed it immediately.

Over the weeks
I loved it so much, instead of using it sparingly, twice daily as instructed,
I applied a generous amount 3 to 4 times daily. Big mistake. It is richer than
it appears. I ended up with tiny bumps on my forehead. That was easily rectified
by using Clarins Purifying Facial Mask
5 minutes each day. I stopped using the cream until my skin cleared. Then, I use
it sparingly, at most twice daily when I am exposed to dry air, or my skin has
reacted to some other products I test, which are too harsh and drying for my
skin. When my skin is really oily, I skip the cream altogether.
Verdict
Payot Creme Purifiante is a joy to use. But it is better suited if your skin
is more sensitive than oily. (If your skin is more oily and pimple prone, Payot Fluide Matifiant
would be more suitable)
