Homemade Facial Masks
Mud masks. Homemade facial masks using clay. A beauty treat at home, in beauty salons and in
spas.
What sort of mud should you use on your face? Definitely not
the mud you get in the garden. That sort of mud contains lots of creepy things
you wouldn't want crawling on your face.
What mud to use?
For sensitive skin, Kaolin is probably the best. Other types
of clay you could use for mud masks are fullers earth, red cosmetic clays and
green cosmetic clay.
My personal favourite clay for homemade facial masks
was

. I have even read a book that recommends kitty litter (the 100%
clay type before you let kitty use it though) as a mud mask. That, I flatly
REFUSE to try.
Nowadays, I prefer to get my masques
off the shelf. They are so much more convenient.. and less risk is involved.
When you make your own skin care, you have to be so careful about sterilization,
bacteria and all that. And all the cleaning up after that.. I'm getting too lazy
for that.

How to make your mud mask
Basically. Mud is clay in liquid mixed to form a paste.
You can mix
Kaolin
, Fullers earth or any cosmetic clay with a
suitable liquid to form a mud mask.
