Home made facial spritzers
On a hot day, a home made facial spritzer refreshes your skin. On a
cold dry day, a home made facial spritzer adds moisture to your parched skin.
What you need
You'll need a small spray bottle to keep your facial spritzer. Buy one from
your neighbourhood drugstore.
You can use distilled water or witch hazel solution as a base for your facial
spritzer.
A filter funnel would be very useful when you pour your home made facial
spritzer into the bottle
Skin softening rose facial spritzer
Mature skin, or any skin for that matter would really love this.
 | Get a handful of fresh rose petals. |
| Wash them well under clean running water. |
| Put into a small clean bowl. |
| Pour almost boiling water over the rose petals. |
| Leave to cool. |
| When cool, pour into your clean facial spritzer bottle. |
| Use liberally all over as often as you like. |
| Keep refrigerated and use it up within a day. |
Here's another treat for anyone who loves the fragrance of rose petals.
Refreshing cucumber AHA facial spritz
Very refreshing. Especially on a hot day.
| Wash a small cucumber |
| Blend the cucumber with a cup of distilled water. |
| Strain into your spritzer bottle. |
| Use liberally for a cool, refreshing effect. |
| For all skin types |
| Use immediately if possible. |
| Keep refrigerated and use within 12 hours. |
Witch hazel facial spritzer for oily skin
Oily skin and acne prone skin would really benefit from this.
| Fill your spritzer bottle with witch
hazel. |
| Add 1 drop of lavender oil for every 20 ml of witch hazel. |
| Shake well |
| Keep refrigerated |
| Use within 3 days. |
| Shake well before each use (I mean shake the bottle.) |
| Caution: Avoid contact with eyes as it contains lavender essential oil. |
Minty facial spritzer
This facial spritzer feels very cool. It is suitable for oily skin or acne.
This is NOT for sensitive skin.
| Put 1 teapoon of apple cider vinegar into a 25ml facial spritzer
bottle. |
| Add 1 drop of pure organic essential oil. Top up the rest with distilled water. (alternatively,
you could make a cup of peppermint
tea and fill the rest of the bottle with the peppermint tea instead. |
| Shake well before each use. |
| Keep refrigerated and use within 3 days. |
| Caution: Avoid contact with eyes as it contains peppermint essential
oil. |
Always use only clean sterile equipment. Always test on your wrist before
spraying the facial spritzer on your face or all over your body. If in doubt,
discard the solution.
