The story revolves around a group of guys who meet every Sat night at Don's Plum, a diner. All they have to do is bring someone with them (a girl). When they all get together, they talk about stuff, just anything that comes to mind, you get the feeling that most of it is deliberately confronting whether because that's what the editor chose to show, or if its because the guys just get bored easily. The scenes as they play out around the table are typical of any group of people getting to know each other, but the scenes filmed in the bathroom are where the characters backgrounds, personalities and disorders are built and understood. As I said before it has a very real quality to it, but it also has a surreal quality. The sound track is limited but great, it has some very uncomfortable moments, but I think that is what the director was going for. I highly recommend watching it alone, that way you can develope a co-existance with the group, much easier to relate to then. It's not going to be for everyone, but it's worth a look in my book. For the Tobey fans, you will see him as you have never seen him before!
