A typical example is the Traditional Lulur. Indonesian brides to be do this daily for a week before their wedding day. The purpose is to leave skin soft, silky and pure. A side effect may be a yellowish stain on the skin, but they don't mind it. Here's how it goes:

What you need

	1 small bowl of body oil. It could be Sesame oil 8 oz , Jojoba oil 8 oz or any other oil fit to use in a body massage.
	2 tablespoons of rice flour
	2 teaspoons tumeric (powder would be more convenient)
	1 teaspoon sandalwood (powder or shavings)
	3 drops of jasmine oil
	2 cups of natural yogurt
	1 handful of fragrant flowers. Whatever is safe and readily available. Jasmine buds, rose petals, frangipanni are good examples.

The treatment

	Pound the rice powder, turmeric and sandalwood together.
	Mix the pounded mixture with the oil and jasmine oil.
	If necessary, at a little water to for a paste.
	Take a shower and dry yourself.
	Smear the paste on your body
	Leave it on to dry
	Rub the paste off with your fingers. This exfoliates your skin, leaving it smoother.
	Rinse off under the shower.
	Apply the yogurt all over your body.
	Rinse again under the shower.
	Fill a bathtub with warm water. Add the flowers and soak in it. (If you do not have a bath tub, then fill the largest basin you can find with warm water, add flowers and pour the fragrant water over your body.)
