Pimple Control
Every pimple starts as a blackhead or a clogged pore. Pimple outbreaks can
also be due to hormonal imbalances (e.g. before menstruation and during
puberty).
If you are prone to pimples, there are some measures that you could take to minimize
pimples.
-
Avoid heavy makeup. Do not use makeup to hide your pimples.
-
If you must use makeup, make sure you remove all traces of makeup before
going to bed. Use a good makeup
remover before you cleanse your skin.
-
Deep cleanse your skin.
-
Eat a well balanced diet. Make sure you get enough vitamin A and zinc (See
the article on nutrition for acne)
-
Drink plenty of water.
-
Acne can be aggravated by stress and the environment, so try to relax and
take it easy on yourself.
-
Get enough sleep.
-
Never pick your pimples.
-
Use an anti-bacterial face
wash. A face wash with Triclosan or tea tree
oil should help.
-
If acne does not clear, see a doctor.
