PERIOD CRAMPS

Many women suffer from cramps during menstruation. The strange thing is that after

giving birth to a child, for many women such period cramps seldom return.

There are many ways to deal with the pain. The most common methods would be to

pop a pain killing pill like panadol or aspirin. Here are more menstrual cramps pain relief products you could try. There are natural alternatives though.

Here are some tried and tested methods that work for some women.

Chamomile  tea. A cup of chamomile tea mixed with 2 teaspoons of honey and juice from a quarter of a lemon is said to help ease the pain.

What really worked for me was evening primrose oil. A capsule or 2 taken daily actually made my cramps a thing of the past.

Other remedies

HOT WATER BOTTLE

Fill a hot water bottle with hot water. Lie down, wrap the bottle with a towel and hold it

against the painful area. You could use a heating pad instead.

CALENDULA TEA

Add a teaspoon of calendula flower tea to a cup of hot water. Cover and let it infuse

for 5 minutes. Sweeten with sugar. Drink.

CHAMOMILE OIL

For pain relief of dull aching pains, Dilute 1drop of German Chamomile essential oil in

1 teaspoon of cold pressed sweet

almond oil. Massage on the area with dull aching pains.

LAVENDER OIL

To relieve sharp pain, dilute 3 drops of lavender essential oil in 1 teaspoon of cold
