Natural Home Remedies
BRUISES
Once you knock yourself, you can limit the damage by using lavender oil and
calendula ointment. Lavender and calendula are very effective on bruises.
LAVENDER
Apply pure lavender oil on the area to prevent bruising and to speed recovery.
CALENDULA
Apply calendula ointment over the bruise.

First Aid Oil

You can make your own first aid oil for bruises and other minor injuries easily.
Infuse some calendula oil by putting 2 teaspoons of calendula petals in 2 tablespoons of cold pressed sweet almond oil in a small glass jar. Those mini jam jars would be just right. Leave the jar in the sun for at least 2 weeks.
Mix 2 drops of lavender oil and 1 drop of chamomile oil in 1 teaspoon of the calendula oil. (Strain away the calendula petals before use).
Keep this oil blend in an air tight dark glass bottle. Light will cause the essential oils to deteriorate. I usually recycle my essential oil bottles by using them to contain my oil blends. You can use this blend on the affected area, to prevent bruising, to ease the pain and to speed up healing.
