Natural Home Remedies
FLU
Influenza, or flu, is caused by a virus. The flu virus keeps changing. There are so many
strains of flu viruses with new ones developing every now and then. As such, no one
can really be immune to it. This accounts for the flu outbreaks every now and then.
When you get the first signs of flu, be it a sore throat or fever, or just beginning to feel
unwell, you may still be able to fight it off and prevent in from progressing if you take
care of yourself.
The most important thing is to rest as much as possible, and drink plenty of fluids.
Stay in bed as much as possible. Drink as much water as possible
Take vitamin C supplements. Echinacea drops taken as directed by manufacturer and lots of garlic helps too.
Boil some chicken soup with vegetables (Corn, carrot, onions and potatoes) drink the
soup and eat the vegetables during meals.
Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil - 100% Pure Australian -- 2 oz
Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil - 100% Pure Australian -- 2 oz

Fight the virus by diffusing tea tree oil and lavender oil in the air, or putting a few drops
of these oil on your pillow as you sleep.
Use a steam inhalation to prevent the flu from setting in. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF
YOU HAVE ASTHMA. THE STEAM MAY TRIGGER AN ASTHMA ATTACK. Pour
boiling water into a basin. Add 2 drops of eucalyptus oil to it. Put a towel over your
head, hold your face 20 cm above the basin. Inhale the steam for as long as you can
take it.
Do not use eucalyptus oil for more than 5 days at a time. You can use 1 drop of tea
tree oil and 1 drop of lavender oil instead of eucalyptus oil.
If the flu sets in, see a doctor.
