Rose oil self massage

Do your shoulders ache? Do you feel tense, especially around your upper back? Here's something you could do for yourself when you are at the desk, or watching tv.

Take a small, clean, empty bottle. Maybe one that used to contain essential. oil. Wash and dry that bottle completely. Pour in 1 teaspoon (5ml) of your chosen Carrier Oil. Then add 3 drops of rose oil. Close the cover and shake well. That is your diluted rose oil.

Put a drop of this diluted rose oil at the tip of each thumb.

Start from the base of your head.

Gently with your thumbs, feel for sensitive spots there.

Massage gently those spots, with your thumb, using circular movements.

Put a drop of diluted rose oil on each fingertip and again on the tip of each thumb.

Feel for the sensitive spots at the base of your neck, between your shoulder blades. Use your finger tips to press  those sports firmly. Massage in a circular motion. Continue feeling for these sensitive sports between your shoulder blades and massage these too. Use your thumbs for more pressure on aching spots your can reach.

Stretch yourself.

Put your right arm above your right shoulder and your left arm behind your back. Reach down with your right arm and reach up with your left arm. Try to hold your right hand, with your left hand behind your back.

Repeat with your left arm above your left shoulder and your right arm behind your back.
